Worship and Music Ministries
Jesus said we must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). We come before Him with both our hearts and our minds-all that is within us-to express our gratitude and praise for His goodness, faithfulness, greatness and holiness. As His disciples, we seek to live a lifestyle of worship in which we present ourselves as living sacrifices, "holy and acceptable to God" (Romans 12:1). One of the many ways in which we do this is by meeting together in corporate worship. We sing, pray and learn about the One we worship through His own word, the Bible. Then we go out into the world to so shine our light before men that they see the character of God Himself in us (Matthew 5:16).
Both through example and command, scripture shows us the vital role music plays in the worship of God. Psalm 66:2 says we are to "sing the glory of His name; give to Him glorious praise." In fact, music is a gift from God designed to develop and deepen our relationship with Him.
Goals
The Worship and Music Ministry of Calvary Community Church exists first to identify, equip and engage musicians and other artists who will humbly and skillfully serve God's purposes for and through the Church. Secondly, we seek to develop general musical knowledge and ability in our local corner of the Church to enhance the use of music in glorifying God.

We are a growing community of diverse musicians, technicians and other artists seeking to serve in an ever-increasing number of ways, including:

Our Values
As the Calvary constitution states, the Bible is the ultimate authority for everything we do as a community of believers. We strive to lead people in worship that is Biblically sound, God-honoring, Christ-Centered and Spirit-led. This begins with an absolute commitment to serious study and application of God's word.
Adult Choir
Adult Choir is open without audition to anyone high school age or older. The choir participates regularly in Sunday morning worship and performs a variety of music. Rehearsals are at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Our choir's season runs September through May.
