Small Groups
Small groups provide a community where people help one another grow in the Lord through the study of the Bible, care for each other, develop and strengthen friendships, share concerns and pray together, and reach out to make an impact on the world. These groups typically meet in homes and meet at various times during the week.
Adult Education
We offer Adult Education classes on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Two new classes will be starting up in September.
Starting Point: A nine-week small group that meets Sundays from 9:45-10:45 a.m. This group will provide an opportunity for you to get to know the biblical truths that Calvary Community Church was built on.During a Starting Point class, people explore the foundations of the Christian faith in a relaxed atmosphere. You may be starting this journey of faith for the first time, or you may want to get a deeper understanding of why you believe what you believe. This class is designed so that anyone can join at any Sunday morning as the curriculum repeats every nine weeks. >More information.
Spiritual Disciplines: The Basics for Living a Christian Life: Even if you don't feel particularly spiritual or disciplined, this class is for you. Come and learn from others in Calvary's family why spiritual disciplines are the means to a transformed life. We hope all adults will join us for this Adult Sunday School Class beginning on Sunday, September 7. >More information.
Corporate Prayer Times
"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." Colossians 4:2
We believe prayer is a vital ministry. Three times of corporate prayer are offered during the week: Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:00 a.m., and Sundays from 7:45 - 8:05 a.m.
Verse-By-Verse Bible Study
This women's study meets the first and third Thursday each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room. The study meets September through May.
Calvary Quilters
This group provides handmade quilts to young mothers in need. Quilters meet from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the first and third Thursday each month, September through May. Come for the whole day and bring a lunch or come for as much time as your schedule allows.
Caring Closet
The Caring Closet at Calvary is well stocked with non-perishable food, household, and personal items. This ministry serves to help those within our church as well as an opportunity to reach out to those in our community. The closet is open Sunday mornings and available during the week by inquiring in the Church Office. Donations are accepted anytime.
