Adult Sunday Classes

Purpose and Overview  (See Class Descriptions below)

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith."  Hebrews 12:1-2

Sunday Classes at Calvary Community Church are here to train you and help you grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ who wants us to run the race and finish well.

When and Where

All classes meet every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the Multil-purpose Room and/or the Fellowship Hall

Reading and Materials

Besides the Bible, most of the classes will use handouts each week, as well as reference useful Christian books during the class. If you’d like one of the books ordered for you, please contact the church office, and we would be happy to do so to supplement your learning.

Fall Semester 2014

The Book of Romans

Sept 7-Dec 14, Multipurpose Rm.

The Book of Romans is one of the most significant Christian writings. Both Augustine and Martin Luther point to this book as revolutionizing their understanding of the Christian faith. The Apostle Paul spends a concerted time teaching through sin, God’s love for us, salvation, Christian obedience and many other topics.

Please join us this fall semester for a great time of discovery and understanding on the topic of salvation by faith alone. This course will take us through a chapter a week. For adults and older teens.

Teachers: Steve Covey, Dave Lahren, Dwayne Moench & Kurt Mustian.
